THey are rubber and break after a while. It seems a little early for an 01 to have that problem though. As for why ti cost so much waht did they do, replace the entire rack or jsut the boots or what. IF the rack then they arent cheap if the boots they probably got you on the labor. __________________ Chris PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF THE OLD TN AS WE KNOW IT.
