4th Generation F*cking snow...

So i hit a patch of snow tonight (i thought the road was just heavily salted as did my passenger) anyway, slid into a snowbank and a tree. After 20 minutes i finaly got out thanks to using my floormats for more traction and keeping in mind not to overheat the trans. The bumper looks fine aside from chipped paint but sine the maaco paintjob it had before was already peeling it doesnt look any different really. It doesnt look like i did any structural damage and the radiator seems ok, only thing is that it is running significantly louder. The best way to describe how it sounds would be perhaps a hole somewhere in the exaust, but when it is in drive or reverse it sounds louder than park or neutral. My car has had exaust issue in the past, i really just want to know if this could be a result of something i did tonight.

any input would be appreciated.

4th Generation

I'd say that your instincts are probably correct. You'll have to inspect the entire length of the exhaust system to rule that out as the source of the loud noise. Chances are that you created a crack as a result of the impact with the tree or snowbank.
