Are you sure it's stuck at the intermediate bearing and not the diff? Maybe the previous time it was removed, someone put a circlip on the right side splines.

Thanks Ken4,
I'm not sure where it stuck. The car bough a long time from dealer (50K miles) but the splines of 93 Camry have no snap ring. If the circlip put on I don't think they can fit in diff. The bad one look like OEM parts.

I would try hammering it out. Get an assistant to tug on the driveshaft while you go from below and hammer it out. Which part to hammer? Well use your imagination. Try to angle a crowbar and brace it against a solid part of the driveshaft. A few whacks from a hammer while your assistant tugs on it should make it budge.

I couldnt get mine off either. I just left it in the mount and took the mount out as well. At a junkyard you can usually get a halfshaft with a bearing on it.

Take the shaft w/bracket is last resort, 4 bolts to engine are not so hard but the last one to chassy is pain in the but.

Your bering is fused ( or rusted) to the bracket ... thats a common problem with the pasenger side axle your best bet is taking the whole braket off and buying a new braket from the junkyard... new and rebuilt cvs come with the bering already on them...

I had the same problem with my car.

First off,I appriciated all your input. How you take the fifth nut off the base. There are three nut:One on the top (hard to get it off) I could buy torch and burn the bearing down. Will it work??

Geoff

As others say, this is a common problem. I had success by warming the bracket up with a torch (only just too hot to hold) and using a brass drift to bang on the shaft where there is a step, between the bracket and the transmission case. It moved out slowly over about an hour.

At the bottom of the hole where the retainer screw is inserted, there is a plastic plug. Make sure you get this out and keep it. When reassembling, put some anti-seize compound or moly grease on the inside of the bracket.

Good news

Finally I get the bitch out off bracket. Here is my learning:
1/ use Brass punch about 18" ($6.99 at Harbor tools).
2/ have helper hold the punch (make sure wearing gloves)and use 4 lbs hammer
3/ With few times hammering, the bearing will come out .
If not working, spray WD40 and leave overnight.
Be sure jack the car high enough so you can get more room from bottom.
