Gen5 this one is for whitechocolate

hey man im tryin to find out whats the deal with the 05 intake. i heard that the only reason why injen dosnt make intake for me is because 05 has some CARBON element in the airbox for EMISSION. so im thinking...........so what if im not safe to the environment. if u wanna experiment with me, we can try ur intake on my car if its not that much of a hastle. i want comments from people about this idea cuz i want to know if it can bring damage to my car.

actually if you were to do the intake, you'd be taking all of that out.

voila, no carbon element to worry about.

like he said, it's only air

That carbon element is the vapor trap for fumes from the gas tank. Take it off and you remove emissions equipment. A big no-no in California. Depending on the smog check station, you may or may not pass emissions by removing the charcoal canister.

this may sound stupid, but if you don't trust our word saying it's safe, why not send an email to injen and ask
