Might be your stabilizer bar bushing. If it is squeaking, try apply some marine grade white lithium grease on the bushings. I fixed mine that way, as suggested by some of my senior TN members.

Not enough info to tell, but my guess on this would be your cv joint.

I had a creaking noise during low-speed turns like maneuvering into and out of a parking spot or garage. Removed the strut assemblies, repacked the front upper mounts with grease and all is quiet. Had a squeaking upon bumps from my rear passenger wheel. Couldnt pinpoint it so I hosed the spring and whatever else I could see on the upper mount with lube. No more squeak. Stabilizer bars are also worth lubing while you're at it.

About the turning your steering wheel problem, check both sides of the car to hear where the sound is coming from. It might be a ball joint in need of replacement.

my rear wheel does this too, do you have to drop the strut back out to do this?

Mine does exactly what you say also. Its only when cold out though, at slow speeds everything squeaks and makes a groaning noise like my knees do if I am really quiet. I just ignore it and turn up the radio. It goes away any time its warm out so I dont mind it. I have been running tein s-tech springs with tokico struts for awhile now.

4th Generation

For the steering problem - be sure and check the tension of the power steering belt. It will squeal if it is too loose.

for the suspension, welcome to the defective strut mount for gen 4
http://toyotanation.com/forum/t112562.html

there are maybe 30-50 threads about it but no resolution except to change it. Change it to the new part cos if not, it will still squeak
