3rd Generation ABS/E Brake

Ok yall know how cars have abs all the way around, right? Then how come when the e brake is pulled up the back isn't kept from locking up? I always wondered about that. Anyone here no why? How come it's like that on a new car too?

The hand brake pulls a cable to lock up the rear brakes. When you press the brake pedal, you utilize the hydraulic brake system. The ABS can only modulate the hydraulic operated system.

what he said.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

E-brake is mechanical

normal brakes are hydraulic.

ABS cannot modulate the mechanical only the hydraulic since it works off pumps and valves and all that good stuff.
