Gen5 weird sound during startup

i have a 2005 le v6 camry with 11k miles. Lately, when I start up the car in the morning, I would hear a mechanical sound every 30 secs, sounds like when you turn on the a/c, except that the a/c is not on and the car is just warming up. This just happens during morning startups.

any ideas?

Do you have the vent set for front windshield defrosting in the mornings?
When you set the dial to front windshield only (on my Camry) it automatically engages the A/C but the A/C light doesn't illuminate.

my 05 does take a short time to warm up too. high rpm then it comes down. make sure your fan is off. if you still hear that noise then contact the dealer shop to have it looked at...
