4th Generation door speaker removal

my speaker rattles for some reason so im thinking of changing it, however i need to disconnect these two wires behind the speaker, how do i go about doing that?

There should be a plug. Unplug the wires and then cut them close to the speakers. After that solder the new speakers on. MAKE sure the positive and negatives of the new speakers are connected to the same colour wires.

Thats what my gen4 speakers look like.

test it with a 9volt battery if the cone goes out then youve got it right if it goes in then its backwards
negative on 9volt to posotive on speaker; its an easy go

or get a test disc for it that plays a tone that will tell you
it def sounds better the right way so you could even play it one way and then try switching it if your really lazy

This will help you:

Right Front Speaker (+) ------- Green Gray
Right Front Speaker (-) ------- Blue

Left Front Speaker (+) ------ Pink
Left Front Speaker (-) ------ Purple


When i removed my front speakers it had regular plugs, like on all aftermarket speakers, so it was plug and play for me. I don't know why yours r soldered to the speaker.
