After the 4th transmission replacement (now needing a 5th) in 70,000 miles, my mother had enough of her 2002 Chrysler Concorde Limited. Wednesday night she picked up a 2005 Toyota Camry XLE. it has the 4 cylinder, but its decently peppy. Im just happy she now has a dependable car that wont break down every 2-3 months with a major hassle. I'll have pix up ASAP as i am home on leave for 6 days. heres the options though:
Silver metallic
Cloth interior (leather int he texas heat burns her skin she didnt want it)
Real Wood Trim.
6 disc In dash changer with JBL audio premuim sound system.
Dual Zone climate control (pretty sure thats standard now)
Dual power seats
Sunroof (wil be dealer installed on the 3rd of january, currently doesnt have one)
Sunshade in rear window (not sure if its power or not, havent looked)
Foglights
VVT-i (again, standard i think)
ABS (stadard again LOL)
its nicely equipped, but not loaded. the only reason she didnt get the leather is because of her location. I'll get pix up as soon as i can. its a used car with 18,001 miles on it on delivery. finally something she can own thats hassle free.

Dual Zone climate control? I don't think they come with dual zone (I didn't see anything in the specs for that) - my car is fully loaded and came with all the available acessories too yet I only have single zone on mine, maybe I was ripped off big time.
Nice car, BTW - an XLE I4 should be more than adequate for most people's needs. Good choice!

Looked like dual zone to me, i only glanced at it though. I now have pix!
Gauges off:
Gauges on:
I love the way the gauges fade on when you start the car.
and now, the money shots!
I like it, but the hubcaps (snap on wheel covers) HAVE to go!
My bad, good catch, its not dual zone, i only glanced at first and all i saw were the 2 buttons on each side fo the Climate control screen. sorry for the misinfo.

tranny #1 at 6K
#2 at 19K
#3 at 34K
#4 at 55K
#5 needed now at 72K, she just traded it in as it was beginning to slip again. thing is when that tranny slipped, it slipped so smoothly that its almost impossible to tel unless you are used to it doing that, we were, and we saw it coming, it was time to ditch it. every one of those trannies was under warranty, this last one wouldnt be though...it had a 7/70 powertrain warranty, and it was at 71,765 when she traded.

Wow! That's a whole lot of maintenance for one car, LOL. With the Camry, it'll last so long that you'll be wishing for tranny problems just so you can get a new car later. My '93 has got 205,000 miles on it and still original tranny & engine. Its old but we can't think what we're going to do with it.
That's a very clean car BTW - hope you guys enjoy it!

ohhh. it's a good thing you caught the tranny slipping. what are symptoms that you catch? My family still has a Gen 3 that we pass around to the intermediate family whenever someone needs to learn how to drive

dosnt the xle come with rims and a sunroof i always thought it did
nope, only with the V6.
The only symptom you can look for is a hash egangement/disengagement of the TQ converter, and the RPMS not matching the speed of the vehcile. there is no reason to be at 6,000 RPMS at 15 MPH when you put the pedal halfway down.
