Stereo Install Problems

Hey everybody, I am trying to install a new stereo in my 1993 Camry and I can't find any diagrams on the internet on what color wires go to what speaker on the car end of things. Thanks for all the help.

get a wiring harness for your aftermarket deck
it snaps onto your oem harness and avoids all the messy work of connecting wires

When i did a radio install on my Gen3 I just purchased a Scosche radio harness (available at Walmart) that fit my year Camry and it also simply listed what wires to tap into. It'll make the install take 15mins or less. To make it even quicker just buy some quick-taps.

This will help you out if you don't want to buy a harness. You will have to cut and splice these wires properly. Diagrams like these have been posted in the audio section before, please use the SEARCH button next time.

Radio 12v blue/yellow +
Radio Ground brown -
Radio Ignition gray +
Radio Illumination green +
Factory Amp Turn-on pink/blue or red +
Power Antenna black/red +
LF Speaker +/- pink - purple +,-
RF Speaker +/- lt. green - blue +,-
LR Speaker +/- black - yellow +,-
RR Speaker +/- red - white +,-
