what's good everyone. just thought i should share some pictures of the new wheels i got for my car. i had them listed in the buy/sell/trade section for a while and no one wanted them so i decided to slap them on my camry after all. i was planning on powdercoating them a glossy black and may still do so, but they still look good.
oh yeah , they're tsw turn7 wheels. 18x7 w/ a 42mm offset
whenever i get the money i'll work on killing that gap between the tire and fender...
drop that car a couple inches and it'll be hype...
as was mentioned in the original post, I'm gonna save up for lowering this beast. but I don't want to compromise the smoothness of the ride. I've always been told my car runs real smooth n want to keep it that way.
I also want to upgrade the front rotors to some drilled ones.
^Well, no matter what you do to lower the car, you're going to lose some ride quality. Whether you go with coilovers, or any kind of springs, its going to get more stiff. However, get good springs, and you can minimize that. I got Tein S. Techs and I'm on stock struts, and honestly, it still rides VERY smooth, I just feel it more on bumps and potholes and junk.
In any case, sweet lookin' Gen 4! Nice wheels. What profile tires are those?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

thanks for the input. i'll keep that in mind. im gonna start researchin what will give me the best of both worlds in terms of lowering and ride comfort. im also going to look into upgrading my rotors to drilled as was aforementioned but i also want to look into perhaps getting a bigger diameter rotor since i can now easily accomodate that. any suggestions?

i know that there are some ppl that put in supra rotors?
is it necessary? doubt it but it sure look good.
hope u have a fat check every month cos upgrades of rotors is quite exp.
i think i had them posted for $600 or so but that was w/out tires. i got these tires for around $389usd w/ tax.

ive heard of that same conversion but if i get anything it will probably be some drilled rotors for now. im not packin any heat under the hood i just want to be able to stop the added rolling mass of the larger diameter wheels with the same efficiency as the stock wheels. my car is more about audio than performance right now. the evolution will continue slowly but surely...
I've always wondered. Bigger wheels doesnt always means heavier.
And the ride quality of my car lowered isnt that bad. Just that you feel a little more bumpy but it'll look good tho, and handle a whole lot better. My car has been lowered by 35mm with 50mm drop springs... (dunno what happened there lol).
I want my car to be 20mm lower lol. But only way is coil overs and they cost waaaayyyyy too much for me hahaa.
Only thing that i have noticed with your wheels is the wheels/tyres looks skinny =P
