On the roof of your gen3.5, is that a ski rack or just a normal luggage rack? I see you live in Kentucky so I don't see much use for skis, but maybe you do have mountains over there... I don't know. If it is a ski rack, would you mind telling me where you got it, please? I live in Montana so I NEED a ski rack for the weekends.

That way my skis aren't laying from the trunk up to the HVAC panel.

Those are actually THULE mountain bike racks. U should be able to get ski racks for your roof from THULE or YAKIMA, I think.
