Scratch woes with my new Camry

3 days after buying my new, black, 2002 camry, a bird pooped on it. Story of my life. I made the mistake of trying to clean it off with just a wet washcloth, and to my horror I found that I've made some scratch/swirl marks on the paint. The affected areas now look whitish and the scratches and swirl marks are very obvious (though they are not deep enough to feel when I slide my finger over them.)

Can anyone recommend some products I can use to repair the damage? I tried using turtle wax "color cure" but it didn't really seem to help. Thanks for any and all advice...

Thanks! I'll check it out tomorrow.

One thing I was wondering about the stuff I tried before, and might be an issue with the skratch X - after you apply it, how long do you rub it in and how long should you keep it on before wiping it off?

scratch X by meguiars is pretty good. Also try the Medaillion premium paint cleaner. That should help. I have a 2001 Solara in Indigo Ink Pearl (midnight Blue). I hate swirl marks. ALso try Ultra finish. Stuff works great. Here's the linkhttp://www.ultrafinishproducts.com/Products.htm
