have 2002 le with factory single cd 6 speakers, hu cd quit bought jbl 6 disk player actually 2 one from 2002 and 2005 [don't ask] 2005 has sat button, didn't realize i needed an amp [don't ask again]

question jbl is 2x the price of other since i just have the normal speakers and dont plan on changing would i just be just as well off with the toyota amp. i was happy with the sound from the stock amplified unit , i cant seem to find out the wattage on either so makes it a bit tough as well to compare apples to apples. made 2 mistakes already so not eager for a third.

To tell u the truth, I have the premium audio in my car, well i used to at least, since then I have upgraded. But personally I'd spend a little extra and buy a decent headunit and keep the 6 disc changer. You'll be more pleased with an aftermarket headunit.

I think even with the external amps, the speakers will be fine.
The speakers that I removed from my 2000 Camry (regular stereo) has 15W marked on the magnet. I assume that the regular radio puts out something like 15W RMS or probably even a little less than that.

With the external amp, it probably puts out 25W RMS if that. Don't quote me on those figures though.

It looks like they have different connections though. i would get whichever fit your car
