Windshield Wiper Problems

Ok, so yesterday I was working on somethings and had the lower piece of the dash off, when I went to put it back on I noticed there was a wire with a connecter piece just hanging there. I looked to see where it could go, and I couldn't figure it out. So I thought, oh well, maybe it was never connected. This morning I go to use my wipers, and nothing, tryed the pulling it toward me once, and the constant one, nothing. I can only assume this wire is for the wipers. So after work, I pulled it all back apart, and I still can't find where the hell this thing goes.
The wire is actually 2, a blue one, and a white one(with a black stripe) and a white connector. If anyone has any ideas where I plug this in, please let me know, I already had to drive home in a light snow, not being able to see, and need my wipers fixed ASAP!!
thanks a ton, matt

need some more information. what year model and things like that. More than likely it will not matter much waht year it is but wiring could have changed from one year tot he next.

You can try autozone.com and in the repair info section they list wiring diagrams for some of the cars. THey also have the majority of the repair manul for vehicles online. It is pretty easy to use. jsut click on repair info onthe main page and follow the directions.

It's a 1993 Camry SE, I have the Haynes manual, but it just says to replace the wires, disconnect them and plug the new ones in where the old ones came out, well I need to know where it came out. Oh, and I'm off to autozone.com right now, thanks.

If you don't get the information on the wiring at autozone.com, try the generation 4 manual posted at the top of this forum.

autozone didn't have it, and I see no gen 4 manual. Does anyone have a 93 camry or any gen 3 that has the lower dash off right now, that wouldn't mind taking a look to see if they see this wire and where it goes? thanks alot, matt

Did you check your fuse for the wipers? Also check and see if you are getting power to the wiper motor.

Checked the fuse, but how would I check to see if I am getting power to the motors? You guys don't think it was this wire? It seems kind of odd to me that they would just die out of nowhere. thanks

Unplug the wires going to the motor then, use a volt meter or test light and turn the wipers on. IF you ahve voltage on the meter or the light turns on then you are getting voltage to the motor.

oh yea, I found it sorry, nope not in there. Once I get a test light, I will check if the motor is getting power. What will that do though? If it's not, doesn't that mean I still have to find where the plug goes? thanks.
