Stick with no tach? Whassupwitdat!!!

Since my old-school 87 cam is the DLX (read: Standard) model, there is no tachometer in the gauge cluster. Honestly, I think whoever thought to leave a tach out of any stick car oughta be slapped. Granted, I'm good at shifting by ear, but I still want a tach to see what the motor's turning. I swear to God on the highway in top gear at like 70-75 mph this thing's gotta be turning 4 grand easy. My question is this: How hard (and expensive) is it to retrofit a j/y gauge cluster with a tach in it to my car? Also if that's too expensive where could I find a decent small tach? Lastly if I get a tach where should I put it? I notice theres like no room for even a small one. Does anyone make a tach which might mount on the A-pillar? I'd think not b/c I have the dumba$$ motorized mouse belts. Thanks in advance

Steve

This is the tach I bought for my car. A 5" tach for 25!!! It looks better in person than in the picture.

And here it is in the car. No comment about it being in an automatic. The mamual conversion should take place next summer.
