Gen5 bypass the oem amp.

just curious, when you install an aftermarket stereo to your ride , do you bypass the oem amp. or use the oem amp as well? i heard that if you have a high power aftermarket stereo it's better to bypass the oem amp. doe anybody know how to do this? thanks

When I had my cam I bypassed the amp. In my '93 camry it had a seperate wiring harness in order to bypass the amp. So it had two set of wiring harness, one to use the amp and one to bypass the amp. When I ordered my H/U from crutchfield they sent me the plug that goes right inot the harness to bypass the amp. I'm not sure if the gen 5 is the same thing.
