Not too long ago I got a 95 navy blue 5sfe camry. It now has around 67,000 miles. Everything is stock on it. I am wanting to figure out what engine mods I can do to give it a little more spring. I wanted to do turbo, but I think thats waaaayy out of my abilities
I want to find what kind of exhaust would be nice. I do not and foremost do not want a fartcan exahust on the cammy. So should I stay around 2.5" pipe? Not sure what mufflers sound nice, and not like a screwed up siren.
Since there arent, or I havent found anyone in the Atlanta area that can help with a turbo being set up properly, what are my options for intakes ? I have heard some horror stories of CAI and puddles. And in Georgia, puddles tend to appear all the time [dam rain] So would a ram-air intake with a K&N be a good choice ?
I dont know if I will put some headers on it or not. The only ones that I would are the ones made by rippmods.

On the subject of some rims, what kind looks any good with a blue camry? All the pictures I see are the white and silver camrys.
Thanks for the replies,
Ryan

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda
Searched for Camry Exhaust, and mostly everything was about the V6. If you would read my post, it clearly states I have the 5SFE. Please offer some advice other than the classic and might I add ignorant response of search, for I had already done so before posting. I have been here over a year with just 61 posts for a reason. I search for everything first.

Thats were i got the idea for my rims, you choose your car and color and then the rims.
A new muffler would look good and sound great
And its not too expensive like the rims oh man they cost $$$$ for good new ones and tires
Thanks! I was just about to post where I could find a site like that. Some friends of mine used to mess around on a site like that back in HS, and I was going nuts trying to find it.
Thanks,
Ryan

Read up on exhausts in general and then you can decide what kind of piping you want. Personally, I wouldn't go with bigger piping unless you're force induced. As far as a muffler, you get what you pay for. I paid $400 for my TRD muffler, and it sounds great and doesn't have that canister look. I could've gotten a cheap ass one off of ebay for $10, and it would've sounded like shit.
And I agree with dysk8forlife... lower the car before you get rims.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Ok as everyone else said Searching will help you alot with most of these questions, But I'll give ya some quick info to get you started...
First and foremost you have to understand that if you really do want to modify the camry and give it some "pizzaz" you are going to have to go with custom products.
Intake Short Ram vs CAI - There have been MANY discussions about this and some people don't believe they work, or that they just work minimaly, but one thing that can't be argued is that CAI will work better than Short Ram on the 5sfe even if the gains are minimal. And this is once again going to be something you are going to have custom made, for now. If its custom made then obviously you'll specify that its not low enough to get water-soaked or you can just purchase an AEM bypass valve and even if your filter is completely submerged in water it will not suck water into the engine.
Exhaust
There are one or two exhasuts out there that are made for the Camry. Search for them and you'll find them. They might be hard to get. Go custom. 2.5" exhasut will be more than enough when going for modest gains. You might even be best going 2.25" so you don't loose too much backpressure if you're not doing that much work to the Camry. As far as mufflers go, just go wth something name brand (i.e borla, magnaflow, greddy) and you should be fine, also make sure you use a resonater somewhere downstream of the cat. And if you really want to make sure its nice and quiet make sure that your muffler has a silencer in it.
For headers, you're right RIPPMods isn't making theirs anymore so you're going to have to go custom with this one unless you use the cheap eBay brand but the reliability on those is not high.
Turbo
Now for going turbo..... you can either purchase the Burien toyota kit ($2500) which is a bolt on kit and will get the job done for a simple kit 8psi or less or you can piece together a kit using MR2 components and then all you really have to worry about is custom piping, which any decent shop should be able to do or you could wait to see if more options come up. Oh and there is a major thread at the top of this forum that is stickied with TONS of turbo information.....READ IT!!!
Drivetrain
I just noticed it was an auto too, do a tranny swap as soon as you can, that alone will let you feel all the above-mentioned mods even more. So while you're in the tranny get a better clutch and also a lightened flywheel.
Hope this helps!
Luis

I agree with you. Did or does TRD ever/does make anything for the 95' camry? As far as build quality, which companies would you recommend? I know magnaflow is great for muscle cars, not sure on how they work for 4-bagers.

You can get good muffler off ebay as well.. but just make sure they're namebrand and new in box. I got my Magnaflow for my gen 4.5 Camry off ebay for less than half what Magnaflow's site said.... free shipping too.
