Rims...
OK so I won't be rollin on dubs but I just scored a set of 15" gen 2 v6 rims for free. Since I have 14s now, this is a nice (and cheap) plus-1 upgrade. As you probably know, they aren't the most attractive rims in the world but they are a little '80s Mercedes looking. What they need is a good cleaning becuase the brake dust buildup is atrocious. Anyone know of a good wheel cleaner? I'm going to use my Eagle One mag and aluminum cleaner and then take a Dremel to the lip of the rim, as some of them have a little curb rash. And how much work is involved in polishing the rims? I prolly wont go that route becausee aluminum can be hard to polish. (found that out the hard way with my rocker cover!) It gets better- I also scored a set of four free brand new with the stickers still on them Bridgestone Insignia radials. (I wanted RE950's but I'm not arguing with free tires.) Damn I cant wait til Spring... for now I get to sit through an icestorm!
