Cold plugs is something you use in a high prefomance
engine with turbo or otherwise, this is to keep the plug
from overheating and to prevent predetonition witch
could destroy your engine, but as long as it has no major
mods on it then the standard heat range is the what you
should stick by.
hey i am about to change mine too (Gen4 V6)
i looked at my plugs on the car they are Denso Multi-ground plugs (PK20TR11)
so i belive they are factory replacments...
i dont know if to stick with them or to switch to iridiums ????
Denso Multi-ground plugs (PK20TR11)
Recently had the valve cover gaskets replaced on my 1mz, and the plugs were checked then, and they were same as the above!!........Runs great, no need to change IMO!

So what if I'm planning to get Nitrous Oxide in the future..?? Would I have to change the plugs for that..??
And, what if I decided to put the IK-22's in without any major engine mods..?? Would that hurt..?? No difference..?? It would run the same as the IK-20's..??
i wouldn't think it would run any different, but i don't know.
As far as nitrous changing it...prolly not, nitrous isn't really something you run for extended periods, but let someone with more knowledge of nitrous verify that.
