4th Generation Denso Spark Plugs for 1MZ-FE

Sup guys...

I'm planning to buy Denso Iridium Spark Plugs for my 1998 V6 Camry and I think I'll keep the stock wires...

I checked in their website and the spark plugs for my car are the IK-20..

I started reading some more and found out that the higher the number (for example, IK-22, IK-24, etc...) the colder is the spark plug...

So, as far as I know, the colder the better ?????

Would any colder spark plugs fit my Camry ?? If not, I'll just go with IK-20's...

Thanks...

jsut stick with what the factory recommends.
unless you start doing modifications there really isnt much reason to change the heat range of the plugs.

Cold plugs is something you use in a high prefomance
engine with turbo or otherwise, this is to keep the plug
from overheating and to prevent predetonition witch
could destroy your engine, but as long as it has no major
mods on it then the standard heat range is the what you
should stick by.

Stick with tthe 20's. PK (platinum)or IK (iridium)
IK22's are usually swapped in once you get the s/c.

Denso Multi-ground plugs (PK20TR11)
Recently had the valve cover gaskets replaced on my 1mz, and the plugs were checked then, and they were same as the above!!........Runs great, no need to change IMO!

So what if I'm planning to get Nitrous Oxide in the future..?? Would I have to change the plugs for that..??

And, what if I decided to put the IK-22's in without any major engine mods..?? Would that hurt..?? No difference..?? It would run the same as the IK-20's..??

i wouldn't think it would run any different, but i don't know.

As far as nitrous changing it...prolly not, nitrous isn't really something you run for extended periods, but let someone with more knowledge of nitrous verify that.
