4th Generation headlight lense separation

ok. heres the down low.i need to separate my headlight cover, from the housing.

ive heard of people putting them in the oven, or using heat guns. but. im not risking this.

ive got to mod projectors into them, for my new HID bi-xenon setup. also. i would like to somehow sand? the ridges on the inside of that lense IF i get it off. how so? anyone ever attempted anything like this before? if so. please help. i want HID in there NOW.

thank you .

You have no choice but to either use a heat gun, or stick it in the oven. There is no other alternative. The headlight is held together by silicon. The only way to separate it is with heat. If you don't want to risk screwing up your headlights, then buy a set off of ebay or something, and mess with those. If you screw up, no worries.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I put my headlights in the oven and if I didn't screw it up, then trust me, you'll be just fine.

Yea Oven Works Good. My Boy Did It 3 Times To His 99 Eclipse.
-pre Heat The Oven To 250
-turn Off Oven
-put Headlights In For At Least 6-10 Mins
-take Them Out And Pull It Apart
To Put Them Back Together
-pre Heat Oven Again
-line Up The Lens With The Housing
-put Headlight Back In Oven For 6-10mins
-take Them Out And Push The Lens Back Together With The Housing And Ur Done.
