WELL I HAD A FIRE IN MY CAR UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT IN MY 92 CAMRY 5SFE. IT CAME FROM A BLACK BOX WITH 2 HARNESSES . IT SAYS 12 VOLT NEGATIVE GROUND ON IT . WHAT IS THIS AND WHAT IS IT FOR ? I INCLUDED PICS . BTW NOW THE RADIO WONT WORK , DOME LIGHTS AND CLOCK MEMORY WILL NOT HOLD TIME . LOOK AT PICS ?
It looks like the stock external stereo amplifier.
Can you get a better pic of the plugs in the 2nd pic?
As for the clock and dome light, the fire probably blew the fuse for them. I believe they all share the same fuse. Your cig lighter might not work either.

What exactly did you do? You hooked up an aftermarket radio...but did you bypass the stock amp? How did you install it?
Also before you replace the fuse, make sure there's no other problem than the amp that caught fire. Make sure no other wires are burned or damaged so you don't get a short and blow the fuse again.
I Didnt Install A Radio Yet. I Was Woundering If The Stock Amp Would Have Any Effect On Installing A Aftermarket Radio? Would I Still Need To Buy A New Stock Amp And Run It To The New Radio Or Just Remove It All Together.
For aftermarket radio, the stock amp is not required. The amp is there because some Toyotas, usually those with premium sound system, do not have an amp in the radio itself. It is usually not compatible with aftermarket radios and most aftermarket radios have built in amps already.
well sence you have it out you can see all the wires going to the amp. just plug then into each other. thay only fit to the right ones so you can mess it up.and then it will send to signal to the speakers.
