CAN MY GAUGE LIGHTS GET BRIGHTER? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Alright, I'm tryin to get my gauge lights to shine brighter. But I've never heard of anyone selling High Output gauge lights or anything like that. And on top of it, I was gonna get some reverse glow gauges, or maybe just white faced, but wither way i dont wanna spend $100 if I cane see the friggen speed! But in any event, I was wondering if ne one had ne ideaz on if i cud replace the bulbs with other ones or if i cud somehow get more power to em without blowin the bulbs. THIS IS A RARE QUESTION so I'm kinda expectin no one to know the answer, cuz i sur as he11 dont!

Dude, I've been behind my guage cluster many times. The stock lights are reasonably bright if they are turned all the way up. If you really want them to be brighter and the stock color, get 168 bulbs (4 of them) and replace the 194 bulbs that are back there... The gen2 is similar to the gen3 (shown in the link) for changing the cluster lights.

Yeah I changed mine. They're a piece of cake. There is only about 9 screws and 3 wire harnesses holding the gauge cluster. You just have to mess around with it when you get some free time and you'll figure it out.
