3rd Generation Front Struts

Hey there Camry lovers, well Im in the process of installing my new front struts and I did one already that took forever, only cause I had never done it before today it should only take a couple of hours I think.. but anyway, I noticed that when the passenger side one I put on I drove it around last night just for gas and such but it was a knock noise when I hit bumps, could it be the spring isn't in place or loose (not compressed enough) I don't know, but Im getting an aligment after Im done so eventhing will line up.. sop ya, just courious if anybody had done it before and had that probly and how they fix it.. thanks later

my guess is the webboard is lagging in some areas.. you should see the "auto ports for sale" forum.....

Your upper mounts might be worn out.. my friend replaced his front struts a while back and besides blown dampers he had no issues with the upper mounts until the new shocks went in..

chances are you just didnt tighten the nut enough on the top of the strut... or you didnt line up the groves in the top with the strut mount.. and therefore it was loose. check that out.

sucks that it takes you so long. I did my ex's corolla in 2 hours (all 4).
