are the backup lamp interchangeable

I have a 94 camry and i was wondering if i can switch out the trunk lid backup lamps and panel for the newer version on the 95-96 camry.

I've tried searching, but the result didn't come up as i wanted. Does anyone know or have switch the trunk lid backup lamp and panel from 92-94 to 95-96. are the lamps interchangeable or do i have to switch out the whole trunk lid? thanks for your help.

yes you can. The Gen 3.5 have a different number of bulbs so try to get the harness with the center-panel. If not you can always just wire in the bulbs.

more so the fact though....not sure if your rear lights will line up properly with the "light" panel part on the 3.5 middle panel though

why don't you give it a try and then tell us?

but for sure you can bolt it on, and the lights are really just a minor inconvenience

yea you get a slight gap in between the centerpanel and the tail-lights. Its noticeable but not too bad.
