I bet that the points inside the motor it self is bad. just like when my rear window was not working. It turn out to be the carbon like points that are in the motor, the ones that touch the round copper piece that is in the rotating part of the motor. all i did was get the points from another window regulator ( it was different than the one my cam had) and it worked fine. Oh and if you do that, you might need a small soldering iron.

automatic seatbelts are where the front two seats have sholder belts that move forward when the door is opened and then back across your shoulder when the door is closed.
The lap belt is seperate from the shoulder belt. thye may sound cool but I hate them.

lube, lube, lube
I feel sometimes like riding those 100 year old motor bikes, you need to oil/lube them before riding them each time.

the track on mine (though mine has only 116 k miles) was BONE dry and made this infernal noise when going up or down.
went to wally's and the "pros" there suggested a thick silicone base spray,
big mistake, last about 2.5 days.

then I was watching some auto show on DIYNET while watching my 2 year old on sunday, lithium grease is what the factory is putting on the sunroof tracks,

it is hard to get grease into those narrow tracks, but I force some with my fingers.

realized that the power window tracks are probably also quite DRY and nasty with dirt.

but thats another project, may be next year :-)

I called a dealer in Olympia, Washington, and they told me the safety equipment had a five year sixty thousand mile warranty. My 87 Camry's passenger side automatic shoulder belt does not work. They told me it would cost eighty-five dollars to diagnose the problem. I was also told, if they have to replace everything for the passenger side shoulder belt system, it would cost three hundred. I think I will be looking for a way to get the belt in the closed position and keep it locked like that. I really do not need them functioning perfectly when I rarely have passengers (my commuter car).

I guess I could try and call Toyota more directly, but this is not too much an issue for me right now since my driver side works, and I use the car for commuting myself.

you can move the belt manually there's a lil panel on the i don't know what it's called the bar that seperates the front door from the rear door. to the right of the passenger seat.. if you pop the lil panel there's a lil thing in there you can spin to move the seat belt back/forth you can keep doing that till it goes into the closed position you want

How I fixed mine

When I bought my 88 the drivers belt did not work. After weeks of chasing this problem,
I found a break in the wiring harness that goes across the front of the door jam. This harness is flexed everytime the door is opened and closed. The car had 178.000 city miles on it. The PO was a salesman and was in and out of the car more than an average user.
Fixing just the broken wire didn't make any sense because soon another one would go south!
So I used the power cord from a broken but quality vacuum cleaner. This cord had wire made up of many fine strands and hense was intended for use in flexing applications. Each Toyota wire had about 7 strands of much larger diameter. I ran 2 pieces of this wire,a total of 4 individual wires, across the jam in the existing rubber tube. I pulled the wire thru using part of a coat hanger. I then just used wire splicers to connect to each wire, one at the back of the door and one inside the cowl. This fixed the problem 2 years and 40,000 miles ago. HTH, Vic
