Smoking Radiator

Hey everyone, after doing some searching, and not really finding much, Im doing this post.

So my radiator had small leaks so I used a radiator sealing thing to plug the small holes, now, whenever I run my car, get it up to temp, there is smoke(possibly steam) coming from it(radiator). I refilled the radiator with coolant, all the way full. The hose on the top of the radiator becomes hot after running the car, and getting it up to operating temp, and the lower hose stays cool, but closer to the engine gets hot.

Also, it seems that the cooling fans dont come on. I tried running a/c and the a/c fan didnt come on. I am going to try jumping the power to the fan, to see if they come on at all. Is it possible that spilled or overflowing coolant could have damaged the fans?

Also, what does the integration relay control? My headlights stopped working, and now my fans have stopped working, could it be because of the integration relay?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Alex

How long did you run your car? If long enough than that is the sign of a bad thernostat.

Sorry I do not know anything about integration relay.

I ran the car for around 30 minutes. This was at idle also, when moving, im sure it happens, but you just cant see it.

Update: I was able to get both fans to run, however, they are running constantly now. All I did was remove the two fan relays in the smaller of the two fuse/relay boxes, and then replaced it with one from my sisters car(identical parts). Magically, the fans started up.

So this is a sign of a bad thermostat....I will have to do that tomorrow. Thanks for the info/response!
