Gen5 brake jobs

recently my ride just reached 50k and outside shop said it's time to replace the front brake pads. however, today when i carefully examed the front brake pads and they appeared to be 1/3 left. do you guys think i should replace them right now or they still good for another 5k miles. one more question, this is unrelated to brake job. does anyone DIY installation katzskin upholstery and how difficult is it? i am think getting it after i got my tax refund. thanks, your feedback is highly appreciated.

When I had cam2Xrunner change my pads and resurface my rotors for me, he told me that I had about 10% of the meat still left, and normally, he wouldn't recommend a brake job for another 5000-6000 miles. So you're fine until you hear sqealing.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

Just remember the inside pads will wear quicker than the outside ones.

your definately good for another 5K driving the way you have been so far. If you decide to suddenly drive like some crazy civic ricer then....i'd keep a close eye and ear on it.
