i'm curious as well. i bought some Stinger battery post clamps. i was going to install last weekend while i was working on my trunk but on inspection noticed that the wires wouldn't reach. gave up trying to think of a solution as it wasn't too important at the time. i was thinking of just extending them with 4 or 0 gauge. wondering what else have people done too.
Phi: did you end up getting a yellow top? i was looking into one as i'm running alot of electricals in my car now.
I just couldn't stand the hacked job I first installed it before. BTW, Phi, make sure you get the Optima battery tray (should be free) that will elevate the battery to the proper height. Otherwise, you'll have to use a rope to tie the battery down, like I did the first time. Trust me, it was NOT pretty. Even though I extended the power cables, there were still leakage/corrosion on the Optima terminal, that's why I decided to change the whole wire out. Can't get good power with bad connections. Lastly, I had time to kill too.
if you are worried about the wires not reaching... that is why i bought the rockford battery, which is basically the same thing as the optima for the same price but smaller in size. I had no problem fitting the wires.
