4th Generation Fuel Pump prob

hey has anyone here ever had a gas gauge problem mine was working properly then one day the gas light came on (i was on my way to get gas) i put gas in and the needle didnt go back up. so a few days later i took off the back seat and all the covers to get at the fuel pump access door and pulled out the unit looked fine i thought that the float was stuck down so i moved the float up and down and then put it back in started the car and it went to 3/4 tank and now it stays there been like that since the start of winter has anyone ever had this problem and how much is it to get fixed cuz i know internal fuel pumps are nuff $$$

thanks

just replace the float, take out the old fuel pump from it and put it to the new float. that should fix the problem.

agreed... either get one from a junkyard car, or see if the dealer can get you just the floater.
