Gen5 Tint in CA (56k might take a while), White3Chocolate can help

Hello,
Anyone here in California with tint in front? I have 50%F-15%R. The shop said they never had any issues with 50% tint... but I'm still afraid of a bitchy cop that might just give me a fricken fixit ticket... Just wondering the chances of getting screwed w/ 50% tint in the front. Here's a pic of my car w/ light in from the rear... Front looks darker this way compared to light in from front. Man, CA laws sux (but i know there's even worst ones). Wouldn't have such issues in Japan (I think).

I'd go for it. Or, if you're too nervous, you could also do a 35% tint also.
BTW, nice gen5 you got there.

ic... cool. I'm from Foster City actually =P. What do you guys think about 35 tint in that area? around SF-> SJ actually, My friend just wants to know the chances of getting screwed w/ 35% tint. But it's an accord, so it's a bit different. Here's a pic of how it is currently, looking very nice 20-15 tint, but has to change because of his parents bitching

A cop will only pull you over for tint if he thinks you are doing something else wrong. Its an easy excuse.

I've had limo (back), 35% (sides) and 70% (windshield) on my WRX and never been hassled - and that's in a "high profile" car. Don't worry to much about it. I have been pulled over once for 'tint' at 2am on a Tuesday night - but the cop leaned in, smelled the car and sent me on my way.

Well, since my name is in the thread title, I've gotta respond. 50% is fine. I've had absolutely no problems. In fact, I was driving one day and I pulled up next to a cop and he started staring at me... after about 20 seconds, he motioned for me to lower my window and so I did, and he goes, "...nice Camry!" and I just thanked him and went on my way. I've had this tint for about 8+ months now, and have had absolutely no problems at all. You're good with the 50%.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I've had 50% on the front and 5% on the rear doors and back windshield for about 2 years. I haven't had a problem in SF Bay Area, Los Angeles Area, San Diego Area, or out here in the sticks. 50% doesn't look like it's tinted anyhow.

The shop where I got it done tinted the whole glass so there's no gap at the top so it looks like the glass is like that anyhow.
