Gen5 v6 se engine

how much do you think i could get a v6 se 3.3L engine for used??new??i don't want to buy the entire car, just wanna swap engines...i know i'll need the engine itself and the v6 tranny...is my best bet trying to find a v6 se totalled in the back-end in a junkyard or do you know of any sites that may sell what i'm looking for...thanks for the help

go to a dealer and ask, then take off 10% for a used price, and then add 500% of the price as labour charge in finding one used.

=)

good luck with the 3mz swap....it's going to be a bit of work...though I suppose since you have teh 5sfe right now, it wouldn't really be much more work than swapping in a 1mz

but from what I can gather, swapping the 3mz in place of a 1mz isn't really worth the trouble unless you need a new engine anyway- lots of rewiring to do at the very least

and my mechanic over here in canada had one for sale with 800km on it for $1300- don't know where he got it from though

do you think if any of the turbo engines would fit the Gen 5?

nitrous, cheap to install (backyard afternoon) cheap to run (yes even with refils, but if you had a custom turbo etc youd be pocketing money for other various maintenence bills as well)

it depends on what youre looking for, im guessing you want a big hike in power, 25-30% or more all the time so go custom turbo route. fairly new engine, should be able to handle power levels similar to the v6 motors.
