Window Problems

I have a 1997 Camry with 2 window problems.

1) The passenger side electic window seems to be 'off track'. When I raise the window, it slides forward severlely - the only way to get it to close is to guide it with my hands while a push the close button. What is the problem and what should it cost to repair?

2) The same window has a crack in the top of the weatherstripping so there is a bit of wind noise heard while driving. What should it cost to replace/repair?

Thanks for your help!

the best way to see what's wrong with the window is to tack off the inside of the door and then you can see the motor/track, etc and see exactly what's going on

with the weather stripping, it'll need to be replaced- you can probably get a replacement from the dealership, or you can use superglue and glue the crack as well....

but in either case, the best way is to do it yourself, so go pick up a haynes manual and it'll tell you how to most of it....at least decently well

DIY!!! The window track is bent (or loose). Just remove the door panel to see the track, test the window to see the problem and with a set of pliers, fix it! I fixed many windows in the past. It ain't a quick job to get done though, I tell ya.
