Okay, here is it fellas.
i read the page on how to turbocharge the 5s-fe and i got inspired!
lets start off like this, i have a 98 toyota camry. my goal is to turbocharge it, convert to 5 speed, and also stroke/boar the engine.
i would switch to a v6 and not have to do as much for more hp. but i like the 4 bangers. reliable and i have the plans for the turbo.. and i also have the turbo now.
what i need tho is info on the demensions for the stroke. if possible, i just reciently came up with the stoke idea.
on top of that i need to know transmission issues. like what kind i can find to support these changes. and also still bolt up to the 5s-fe.
take it easy on me im kinda new to this highperformance thing. and any info will be much appreciated.
now if you had a 3sge i might say stroke, but to stroke the 5s would mean custom everything, from crank to pistons to pins.
probably.
for that you couldve dropped a 3sgte in, stroked it, upgraded its boost, a v6 transmission...
....

does the 3sge drop right into the camry? or do you have to do alot of modifications to make it fit?
the 3sge comes out of the celica right? if so what generation would i need it out of?
Yo tell me this what is a bore and stroker for an engine?
boring an engine involves basically shaving the cylinder walls out and fitting larger pistons to increase capacity, stroking does it by increasing the stroke (up/down movement) of the pistons to increase capacity.

You could turn your 5sfe into a 5sge and if you turbo, 5sgte. its a head swap.
lots of work, and unless youre your own workshop, the 3sgte even though its not a simple drop in, is still the best option.

ok well if i was going to drop the 3sge into my camry, what would i personally have to modify? and does the tranny to the 3sge hook up with the transaxle to the camry?
More than you would think for an engine swap Bore your 5s and turbo it, and you'll be set.
im guessing there is too much internal work which is custom that will take too long =)
getting a 3sge is nto worth it. getting a 3sge in is. the only really custom bit would be the mounts. you can find anything else you need off the shelf, just as a bore job would be, gotta look for the right items, may take longer then you hoped for (to find parts and to get the job done)
