I have a 1995 Lexus ES300 and it has 94K miles and i had the uppermotor mount replaced and plugs and Valve stem seals done. My car has a real low frequency vibration at idle in drive. It is a very tiny vibration when i am at a light. Is this normal for the V6 or is it supposed to be perfectly still at idle? Please camry owners tell me am i imagining things?
Thank you for your response, i thought i was going nuts! I was told by my toyota dealership that it is normal. When i put it in neutral the vibration is gone completely.
thanks, so, please describe the vibration that you feel. Does it kind of radiate throught the steering wheel? What do you think of the 1995 Lexus ES300?
That idle vibration is perfectly normal. Don't worry about it. Just remember that the Lexus line is famous for its smoothness and the cabin's isolation from the engine. On other cars, that vibration is much worse.
As for the 95 ES, it's a solid vehicle with a great reputation for reliability. You made a good choice.

Well i have that same problem on my 1997 and its just with age the car seem to vibrate more because parts get loose .BTW i love the ES300 it is a good car built on a perfect frame(same as Camry  )
Is it common for the Power steering rack and the pump to leak on it? Because it has a small leak from those components, I also had to have the valve cover gaskets replaced and the valve stem seals done as well.
Ya its normal to have some leaks like that on a 1995 ,you have alot of milage so its going to have minor repairs to do on it.On my 1997 Camry i have already had to change my knock sensors and that was expensive but it was needed. If you wnat they sell fluid that can block leaks , try to find some otherwise just see if you cant get the parts urself and do the repairs.

If your rack is leaking, you're gonna have to replace it. I know a few people who had to do this including myself. Started with a small leak...and the small leak turned into huge puddles on both sides of the rack. The only fix is a replacement. Here in the states...a rebuilt rack costs around $600 and add labor to that. Imagine what a brand new rack costs...you can forget that idea! I spent $800 total on my 95 Avalon XLS to get the stupid rack replaced. Now it's good as new. 98900 miles and still running strong.
