squeaking from the wheels.

There is this squeaking noise coming from the front passenger side ( maybe driver side too, can't tell ) of my car. It only squeaks when the car's moving, not RPM related, nor gear.

I checked the wheel bearings, it's not playing, it turns smoothly without any roughness. Any idea what could be causing it? axles? CV boot? tires? I did 500 miles highway in it, didn't get any worse. I can't hear it if the window's closed. And sometimes, it's not there at all. But most of the time it's there. It's like a .. rubber against rubber with some water on the surfaces. If you know what I mean.

intermediate with rhythm, seems to come from every turn of the wheel, some times skip a beat or two.

Brakes, possibly. Check pad thickness.

Will double check, although, last time I checked them, they were at least 3-4mm left.

do you ahve hubcaps? IF so it is possible they are squeaking. I have seen it on many occasions that they get to where they will not center on the wheel after they ahve been removed over time and the tires flexing while rolling can cause them to move on the wheel and squeak. Just an idea. Since it isnt hard to remove the hubcaps you can pop them off and see if it goes away.
