I have been told by a few people that the Gen 5 SE taillights are slightly darker than the LE taillights. I have not seen the difference...maybe I'm just getting old? Let me know the deal!
nah, your right, the Gen5 SE taillights are the same as the LE, they are not any darker...
but the Gen5.5 SE taillights on the other hand, are darker than the LE ones
so i guess those are the ones you were thinking of.
i have one quick question i've been wanting to ask? How do you know when a car moves up a .5 gen? for example a 5 to a 5.5 gen? dont really get that . i thought that it was only 1gen, 2gen, 3gen...and so on. please explain that.
^^ mike, the .5 generations aren't adressed there.
the gist of moving up .5 of a generation is some minor body alterations and some technical upgrades sometimes.
to see the difference between a 3rd gen and 3.5, look at the back. the 3rd gen has the red plastic saying "camry" all the way through. the 3.5 has the body color coded plate that says camry. the gen 3 headlights are different. they curve in. as seen in my pic of my 3.5, the headlights curve out to the grill. hope this helps.

1.1. What are all the generations of the Camry? Question:
What are all the generations of the Toyota Camry? Answer:
Gen1 = 83-86
Gen2 = 87-91
Gen3 = 92-96
Gen4 = 97-01
Gen5 = 02-06
Half generations are usually the last two years and are made obvious by minor body and mechanical improvements.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
