If it was my car I would do a drain and refill NOT FLUSH every 30K miles. This will change out about 1/3 of the fluid every time.

So much misinformation

Just to clarify, your recommended interval is 30k. I always do a complete flush for all my fluids. They don't recommend doing a flush if you're at 300k and never done one before, but as long as you maintain your vehicle a flush is the best way to go. I would also recommend at 30 doing an engine coolant flush and brake fluid flush. You could go on your local Toyota dealers websites and print coupons to take to your dealer of choice. For all 3 you should be able to walk out paying less than $300 for all 3 flushes. Jon.

FWIW, I change my tranny fluid every 20K miles. My car is in my signature.

I had an '85 Camry a while back w/ an automatic tranny. On that car, I changed the tranny fluid every 30K miles. At about 150K miles, the tranny was starting to show signs of failure....getting real hot and burning fluid quickly.

So, with my current Camry, I've decreased the fluid change interval to every 20K miles. I'm interested to see if this will make my tranny hold up longer than the one on my '85 did.

This is the best, most accurate information I've read here yet. There are so many people who give out poor/misguided info on this forum it's rediculous.
