2nd Generation How the hell do i get this off?

Ok. So I'm running wires for my amp, and its getting pretty difficult to fish the wires through the plastric trim between the front and rear door. I've tried prying them off, but its really hard and I'm afraid I will break it. I'm hoping that there is some sort of method to doing this besides cave man style. Can anyone help me out here? Any alternatives? I've got a link to an image pointing out the trim im talking about if there is any confusion.

Thanks everybody.

Pull the upper trim up and off, then the lower trim up and off... shouldn't be too hard.

you have to pop the top one off first b4 u can take out the bottom one.. both is held on by 2 clips.. it's best to pull from the top top top part 1 quick yank should do it for each clip.

i just pulled the pasenger seat and ran everything under the carpet. i have done that in many cars and workks every time. it is easyer than trying to deal with trim. becouse if you get it to bearly fit over time it can pop the trim up and out of the holding spots whitch will make it not match. just a different idea for you to think about

I don't think I remember the lower half of the that trim being held by any clips at all. I think the only clip that's on that trim piece is the one that lets you take off the lap belt out of the slot on the bottom. The only thing that's really holding that trim piece in place are the edges of it. Try removing it by starting at the bottom corners by the lap belt and work your way up, then you can pull it down and off of the upper trim.

Btw, I'm assuming you have removed both the door sills right? Or else you won't be able to take that trim off.

on my gen 2 you just have to put a hand on either side and kind of 'stretch' it off

I just put my amp/sub in about a mointh ago. that piece of plastic basically hugs the B-pillar, no clips or anything. you can just pull it off. its not that hard. then run your wiring under the carpet. and put everything back. too easy.
