99 Camry Headlights problem

For some reason my headlights turn on whenever I turn off the parking brake. This is weird because Im sometimes driving with headlights in the morning. Its a 99 Camry LE v6, I haven't changed anything.

did you buy it used?

if you did, it's quite possible that it is a Canadian spec car, which means that we have daytime running lights that turn on once your car is on, and your parking brake is disengaged

Yeah dude, its day time running headlights, if you were to start the car with your hand brake up the lights won't come on unless you flip the switch, but if you have the light switch off and than release the hand brake the headlights will turn on, if you are in a dark area the low beam light will than come on, you should have a dome shaped object near the front windshield of the passenger side of the car,

I dont understand how I was hijacking this thread since this is pretty much related to the same issue, just different circumstances. I do not want to disable the DRL I just want to be able to have my headlights turn off when ever I put the car in park without turning off the car or disabling the drl
