now that theres been a couple of votes, which i have no idea if you tried it or not, ill say why.

with the mini breather on the pcv its the same as having a vacuum leak. air is going back into the atmo which has already been metered by your air flow device.

The maf sensor on my stock intake is before where the PCV valve hose goes into. so it doesn't get metered?

its before which means it IS metered, remember the engine is a sealed air pump, you put a mini breather o it and you got a leak.

bump for the anti mini breather campaign.

if you have a mini breather you will know you have one.

I did plug the pcv port on my intake, but i did it because my 95 didn't have a valve for it, so i'm not sure that will help you.

Probably not noticeable power gain but more oil in intake (especially older engine)
For me:
Valve cover --> oil catchcan --> intake

the valve cover breather just filters any blow by, and oil vapors in the valve cover, the intake hose just has a vacuum to it to remove these gasses, and reburn them. im doubting you get much of a difference in performance, except for having a cleaner throttle body, and if you run a metal, maf-tb tube, all you would have connected is the one egr or w/e.

i'm still confused. since it goes like...........air intaked > Maf metered > mix with oil vapor > TB then it goes around to the hose and it goes after the maf which doesn't get metered. only the air blowing by it but since the hose is after the maf. i don't see how it's metered. -_-

terrrastrife was trying to say that the air that already been metered by MAF is vented out to "atmosphere" if you put the breather filter on the PCV hose.
All metered air should be reroute back into the engine since proper fuel amount was already calculated for.
If you plug it back into the intake between MAF and engine, you are OK.
The blowby that comes out of PCV is already meterred and should not be vented.
