my check engine light came on, on my 1994 V6 Camry, but the hanes manual does not show the codes for this year. :x ...the hanes manual does not cover alot of things for the V6 engine....I tried a search, but it was not working out for me.. i did not find what i wanted to know, maybe i am doing something wrong since i am new to this forum. I would really like your help in finding out how to check my codes and what the codes mean....or you can help me to do the search.
I need help asap. Thanks in advance.

What code are you getting? Any other probs with the car?

you have a v6 like mine, which is OBD-II. you will have to goto a Canadian Tire or mechanic with an OBD-II Code scanner to read the trouble codes for you. I would try Canadian Tire if you have access to one, I head that they will do it for free (could be a rumor..).

As i said, i do not know how to check the code. that's what i need help in. Can i check it myself? i need to know how to check the codes and how to interpret what they mean. I can't find this in the hanes.

I am not sure if i have the OBD-II, I am in the USA, and i have the V6 engine. how can i know which engine i have? Where else could i check the codes for free if i can't check it myself?

you 100% HAVE an OBD-II computer... so you have a snowballs chance in hell of getting the codes on your own. go to a mechanic and get the codes... they will tell you what they mean. if you still dont get it, write down the error codes they find and do a search on google for that specific code.
