Luckily my car isnt working, so this didnt happen to me.

turns out one car drove thru the red light and was hit by oncoming traffic on the left side and was pushed towards the path of the fire hydrant. sucks to be either one of them. i overheard the other driver yelling "i just got my license back and now this!!!!!"
