Gen5 Best Brand of tires

I was just wondering what tires everyone here has on their cars. I have Michellin Energy MXV4's 215/60HR16 and they slip like crazy on rainy days . Have a good half inch on the treads and 'bout 11K on them. Anyone experience slippage on their tires? BTW my se is a 4 banger.

I've got a set of Hankook Ventus HRII's 215/50/17. and they perform way more noticeably better than my old stock tires. They run very well on wet roads.

I prefer either Potenzas or Advans. I'm looking into Falken though, they got some good tires.

I have Falken Ziex ZE-512s in 205/60R16 size. I put about 33K miles on it so far. Good grip, ride and wear all at a great price. I can probably get another 20K out of them.

These tires didn't seem very quiet at first, but these tires seem quieter now than when they were new. The pavement in this area is pretty coarse, so you may get a quieter ride where you live.

I bought them from here.

I have the older Falken Ziex ZE-326 tires on my Maxima in 205/65R15 size and they are actually even better (quieter) and grip well.

I've had good luck with Bridgestone and Michelin also, but it really comes down to the type of tire you choose.

In the past I've had Michelin XH4 tires. They wore great (I put over 90K miles on them), but the traction was marginal and the ride wasn't that great. I also had Michelin MX4 Rainforce tires. They were great. I drove about 55K miles on them, and I really liked those tires - quiet, rode well, wore well, good grip, rain performance.

You may want to consider something like Michelin Hydroedge Tire for your car.

I got some Michelin X-Radials on right now. I am pretty happy. Although I can spin the tires fairly easily. They do hold the road pretty well, much better than stock or the contintials too. I have about 30K on them now.

Fuzion HRi 215/50R17. Very good dry traction, fairly good wet traction. I haven't slipped the tires yet in the rain, and I always go out driving when it rains 'cause... its... fun...

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

check out the reviews from

One-off hearsay's aren't very helpful, but when it's aggregated, much better.

The figures on those sites don't really say as much as experience does. It's not pretty when the wheels are spinning and the car doesn't move for sure. Of course I can always go studded and rip up the road . In any case I was looking at wider tires. I notice some of you had 225's and 235's, they fit?

Those are the tires im slowly working to put on my car, i want rims but they don't make them to fit the solara rims. Safety before beauty.

I have the Bridgestone ponenza 92 and these tires suck in all weather.
