Hey guys,
I just bought a 93 V6 3.0, so I'm a little new to the whole Toyota scene. I would like to get some performance out of it, but I am fairly young, so money is an issue. I have a rough outline of the mods that I would like to have. If you guys have any suggestions about them, or any knowledge of some good investments as far as price and performance are concerned, please let me know. Thanks. Here is an outline of the mods I was considering in order.

1) wheels and tires
2) suspension
3) intake and exhaust
4) bodykit?/foglights
5) turbokit or supercharger?
(i'm not sure if anyone makes a turbokit
or supercharger for the gen3 V6)

Those are my thoughts. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hey welcome to TN and to the Toyota scene.

For aftermarket parts, Rod Millen/Erebuni make bodykits for the Gen3 Camry, while Koni/Tokico/KYB carry struts and Eibach/H&R/Intrax have springs for it.

Check out TTCC's Links page and you'll find links to these companies' sites. You can also check out our crew section and see what our members have in their cars and make your choices.

1) wheels and tires
Do you want to go for looks or performance in this category? Depending on which route you take people can help you with suggestions.

2) suspension
Personally speaking, on my 1993 I went with Tokico struts (servicable) and H&R Sport springs. You have many choices though, depending on how low you want you car and what type of ride quality you want.

3) intake and exhaust
Custom exhaust is a good idea for money reasons. You could get Borla/Brospeed, but you pay the price and the results aren't necessarily the best. If you live in the Toronto area, there's a good place that some of our members have had work done at with proven results on the dyno.

4) bodykit?/foglights
Not my area, but you will find a lot of help from many members on this forum for that.

5) turbokit or supercharger?
There is no kit currently available for your car for supercharger or turbo. But if you can find a good engine shop that has experience working with Toyota engines, you could possibly get a custom kit built.

Good luck and stick around and you will be able to get a lot of help from the knowledgable guys here.

Welcome to the forum ,i hope we can be of help to you.Well sealed struts are more expensive to buy ,and when they are fininshed you change the whole thing. The other ones have a nut that alows you to remouve the strut core and replace it for cheaper.

CamryRR answered that.

However I am guessing that you have serviceable struts (good thing). So you just have to buy the cartridges, which is much cheaper.

However, you should make sure by looking at the nut on top of the strut housing. If there is one, that looks like it screws off then you are set.

Straight from the mouth of Tokico.
V6 and i4 fit the same.
92-94 use non sealed.
95-96 use sealed and different mounts than the 92-94.
the excption being most 94 models (Jap. and Amer.) built after october 94 use the same mounts and sealed struts as the 95-96 models.
This applies for all gen3 Camrys. Both V6 and i4's of a given year use the same parts.
