Need advice on management for turbo setup. [Im for real]

Hello,

I am currently scanning through options on management for a reliable turbo 5sfe. The setup will do 6 psi as I want it to last and just be as dependable as I can make it.

I am looking at:

Megasquirt
Greddy E Manage

These are the two that really caught my eye. Is there any others from personal experience you would recommend ? I like the megasquirt for the spark timing.

Ill keep reading the sticky info,

Ryan

There are ways around it, remapping the microsoft servers, stopping the service, using a firewall. But what I personally do is close my curtains, wrap my computer in tin foil and yell "BRING IT ON" over and over again. -Drunken_panda

The Greddy E-Manage Ultimate now does timing as well. It really depends how far you want to go. The Megasquirt is a great system, I'll be running that on my Probe, but you are going to be hard-pressed to find tuners that will be able to work on that Megasquirt on a Camry. The E-Manage will be a piggyback but will allow you enough flexiblity to tune 6psi dead on and you can certainly tune that yourself as its simpler than a full standalone.

If you're looking to go as simple as possible, an SAFC-II and a MSD BTM will be more than enough for just 6psi.

SAFC2 and MSD BTM probably good for a little more than stock psi. After that I would recommend Greddy Emanage or SMT6 but laptop is required.

Yeah, would the SAFC+MSD be for sure good for 6 psi ? I want to make this as stable as I can make it. 6 psi is all that the turbo will be running on the car.

Too bad on the megasquirt, I really wanted to use that, boo!

Now with the emanage ultimate, the price is up there. So with the regular emanage, wouldnt I still have to get a MSD for the timing ? The E manage also is appealing as I am a few miles from a tuner.

So its Greddy Emanage + MSD, or SAFC + MSD. Which one should I go with, both the SAFC and Emanage are near the same price.
