No he's not, green coolant will work ok but the red from toyota IS the best for our cars.
Do NOT use dex-cool!! (Orange) That WILL clog.

Red is probably best, although my camry has probably seen all sorts of coolants and has yet to experience problems.

Im not trying to be a smart ass but the best way to flush a radiator is to take it to a pro.

draining the radiator is probably only 1/2 of the coolant in the system, the other half remain in engine, you probably need to keep engine running and flush the coolant out of engine with running water from garden hose.

You can use a couple aspirin tablets to keep the thermostat open so that the coolant can flush out. But if you do that, you can also disconnect the hoses from the engine and stick the hose right into the engine.

Some engines also have a drain on the engine block somewhere. On the 5SFE, you can get to it by lifting the car and looking at the back of the engine block.

red or green coolant will soon be unavailable because they are sweet and kill animals. they have a new mix now that works in all cars and replaces all colors and is supposed to be safer for the environment.
