2nd Generation Need Some HELP

Alright heres the deal, i work for a toyota dealer and really support there products all the way. I just picked up an 1989 2.5L V6 Camry. All ive done is rebuilt the engine and install a system. Im getting ready to put 17" wheels on it and have been looking for a drop. My question is what is everyone using to drop the v6 camry. A friend that i work with had a similar camry with 17 s and he used the intrax springs but he said that they were made for the 2.0 and after a month or so he couldnt keep from bottoming out. Has any one else had this problem or should i not worry about. Does anyone actully make a drop for the v6 or does anyone know a better way to do the drop.

Alright i read through both discussion and it really helped but do you think that the struts will resolve the problem of rubbing. Will they make that big of a difference.I just talked to my friend and he says that he still has the intrax springs that he used and that i could have them so do you really think that the struts will fix the problem or not becuase im ready to order if they will.

rubbing against the tire?

if its rubbing against the tire, try smaller width tires or a spacer. if its strut rubbing against the spring, see if there's a slimmer strut available for gen 2s.
