Check Engine Light

Anybody knows how to turn off the "Check Engine Light"? It is a 2002 Camry V6. I don't want to spend the $ to the dealership just turn the light off!

Thanks.

go to autozone and get the error code read for free. and then research on the error code and try to make sense out of the problem. There are some useful error code list that you can use in here.

All you have to do is disconnect the battery and the light will reset itself.. Best bet is to go to autozone and have them hook up their scan tool ( its free btw) and find out the error code.. Saves me when I have a problem..

You need to find out why it is on before jsut turning it off. Just because the light goes away doesnt mean you fixed the problem

Like others said go to autozone and have it read then look on here to see if you can find info about your particular code

THe last One I remember seeing of those was in this small town I lived in about 15 years ago. Unfortunately they were pretty much worthless unless you needed lawnmower parts.
