Shakin at 25 mph?!!?!

My cam is lowered about 1.75 and whenever i get to about 20-30 mph the car starts to shake (enough to make my change rattle) and I was wondering what it cud be. I was thinkin the CV axles werent center since i lowered it and that was it. But if thats so, why does it only shake between 20-30 mph??

depends.....has it always been doing that, or only after you did the drop?

a lot of the times, when it comes to the car shaking, its in the wheels...could be balancing, a dent in a rim, or even alignment....

good luck with the prob.

nah, its only been doin it since i lowered it. But cud i get someone one (any major car repair shop) to align my wheels since its lowered? I heard that if the see/know your cars lowered they wont even touch it. And just for my reference, when they say "alignment", does that mean the camber? cuz the inside of my tires are already wearing down quick and I didn't know if that wud fix the problem. One of my friends said that was the toe, but i thought toe was the alignment when you tightend the lug nuts onto the wheel. Can anyone explain this to me in simpler terms? Im really good with cars, but this is the first time I've ever messed around with suspension work

I had to find a small independent shop to do my allignment. The allignment does not only consist of camber adjustment, but also castor and toe. The rapid wearing of the inboard side of your tires is due to the excessive negative camber.
If you have a Haynes manual there is a good desciptoion of these terms, if not, heres my abridged version:
Camber is the tilting of wheels from verticle when viewed from either front or rear (head-on or tail-on). Negative camber is when top of wheels tilt inward and vise versa. Is adjusted with bolts on lower section of strut.
Toe is when wheels are not parallel, the distance between front of wheels and rear of wheels are the same (minimal toe-in is standard).
Caster is when the front struts tilt either forward or backward on thier axis. Tilting toward the front is known as negative camber. Is adjusted with spacers between swaybar and control arm.

How much did that guy charge for your alignment? I've seen em go as high as $150 around here, and I can egg out the strut-to-knuckle holes for cheaper than that. and about how many degrees u think it wud be off if its lowered 1.75"s? I was thinkin maybe a little over 1 degree, but i'm not sure how to tell.

I payed $98 for a four wheel allignment. Even if you "egg out" your strut, the wheels still must be alligned by a professional. I thought you purchased the Ingalls cam bolts. Anyways, I have no idea about how many degrees of camber. As I may have said before, the Ingalls cam bolts claim to adjust camber +/- 2 degrees, so with those (and cut springs), they were able to allign my wheels properly.
